You tell me to go with the flow,
similar to the ocean’s waves,
without considering that they’re
always crashing into me.
Our bodies change
every day, and with it
my fear that we will
forget how to love,
not only ourselves,
but also each other.
She cared about her dog
more than she ever cared for me,
and I never thought of it having
inequitable implication, until I
watched her love somebody else.
